Registered Finders are local organisations, clubs, or businesses who support schools using Fost+Lound by offering an extra place where lost items can be returned and reunited with their rightful owners.

It’s easy, low-effort, and a great way to build positive connections with local families.

Who Can Be a Registered Finder?

If you’re a community group or organisation based near a school using Fost+Lound, you can register to be a finder. Perfect examples include:

  • Local sports clubs (football, netball, athletics, etc.)

  • Shopping centres or retail stores

  • Youth centres, libraries, or community halls

  • Bus services or after-school transport providers

  • Secondary schools (to support items lost from primary school kids during transition)

Whether you’re on the sideline, behind a counter, or running a community hub — if kids are around, you’ve probably found something they’ve left behind.

How It Works

  1. Download the Fost+Lound app
    Any staff member, volunteer, or team coordinator can use it — multiple people can be linked to the same Finder location.

  2. Set your pick-up time & location
    You choose when and where parents can collect items. For example:

    • “Saturday 8am–11am at the soccer club kiosk”

    • “Weekdays 9am–5pm at the reception desk”

    • “After school at the youth centre front desk”

  3. Tap the tag, send the SMS
    When you find a tagged item, simply tap it with your phone using the app. The system automatically sends an SMS to the item's registered owner with your pickup info.

That’s it. No logging, no chasing — just a quick tap and the magic happens.
