Why Schools want fost+lound
What is fost+lound?
fost+lound is a simple, smart system that helps reunite lost property with students — reducing the pile of unclaimed items in your school and saving staff, parents, and volunteers countless hours.
Using NFC tag technology, the system makes it easy to contact parents when a lost item has been found, helping items get back into the hands (and homes) of your students — while also providing a fantastic fundraising opportunity through tag sales.
How It Works - for Schools
Parents purchase a fost+lound starter pack through the Parent Committee.
Tags Are Attached to Student Belongings. Each pack contains assorted NFC tags suitable for items like:
Jackets & uniforms
Bags & sports gear
Shoes & hats
Lunchboxes & drink bottles
Parents activate their pack and link their tags to their phone number.
Lost Items are found when a tagged item is deposited at the Lost & Found station at the school.
It is tapped on the fost+lound Finder Portal
The system automatically sends an SMS notification to the registered parent at 2.30pm each school-day.
Community Integration
Local sports clubs and community groups can also be Registered Finders, meaning items left at offsite events can still trigger an alert and be returned.
