What is fost+lound?

fost+lound is a simple and clever way to help lost items find their way back to your child — and back home where they belong.

By attaching special NFC tags to your child’s belongings, fost+lound makes it quick and easy for lost items to be identified and reunited with you via text message. No more rummaging through the lost property bin hoping that water bottle or jacket turns up!

For what is often less than the cost of one item of a child’s uniform you can tag all their uniform and items they take to school.

How it works

1. Tag Your Child’s Items

When you purchase a fost+lound pack, you’ll receive an assortment of tags:

  • Shoe tags

  • Sticker labels

  • Silicone stick-on tags

  • Bag tags

These tags are designed for items like:

  • Jackets & hats

  • School bags & sports bags

  • Drink bottles & lunchboxes

  • Shoes & uniforms

  • Sports equipment & more

Each tag links to your parent profile and phone number.

2. Activate Your Pack

It’s super simple — scan the pack’s unique code and enter your contact details. All tags in that pack will now be linked to you. You can also add additional family members, after school carers or friends, like older siblings, so whoever is picking your child up from school is also aware something needs to be collected.

3. Lost and Found Magic

If a tagged item is found:

  • It’s tapped at the school’s fost+lound Finder Portal (usually located in Lost Property area of the school).

  • An SMS notification is sent to your phone at 2.30pm that day, and 7.30am the following day, letting you know your item is waiting to be collected.

4. Community Coverage

Sports clubs and local organisations can also be Registered Finders. If your child leaves something behind at practice or an event, a registered finder can scan the tag and you’ll get the same handy SMS.
